Molly With Gill Missing?

1. Water parameters tested 10 minutes ago
ammonia - 0ppm
nitrate - 40ppm
nitrite - 0ppm
PH - 7.2
temp - 31.5

2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.
my black mollys right side gill is missing, apart from that he's eating swimming and acting completely normal

3. How often you do water changes and how much.
i do a 50% water change every 2 weeks

4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
none

5. What tank mates are in the tank.
community live barrers fish mainly and 5 bamboo shrimp

6. Tank size.
190L

7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish?
none

any ideas as i have no spare cash of meds until the end of the month

try another heater when you can afford one but usually it takes a lot of turning for it to drop the temp.

as for the gill, did it just suddenly disappear or has it been slowly disappearing? for it to just fall off is a bit weird but it could maybe have caught it on something or a bigger fish attacked it?
if it slowly started to go then yes could well be gill rot.
