Hey, so I had five mollys in my 20g tank with some bottom feeders and three raspboras... and they're all still there, except for a molly that just died.
Now, I wouldn't be worried about it, you know figuring that it was just one of those things, except it's eyes bulged out of it's head... A week or so ago, I began noticing what looked like swelling around it's eyes, and then it started hanging around the bottom of the tank, so I decided to put some extra aquarium salt in. Now, I was gone for a week, but I had someone feeding them and doing everything else that needed to be done, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything they did either.
Finally, today I decided not to change the water because I didn't want to stress this fish out, since it was staying at the bottom of the tank and I checked on the tank just a few minutes ago and the fish was on it's side, on the bottom, with it's eyes actually sticking out of it's head.
What could this be?
ps -- Nitrates/ites are fine and the temperature is between 24 - 26 Celsius. Also, there are all small fish in my tank so there was plenty of room and I hadn't seen any aggressive behaviour with these mollies. I had one aggressive molly a few months ago but it was because I had too many in a smaller tank.
btw -- sorry I forgot... obviously, this fish is already dead, I just want to know what it had so that I can avoid the same problem again later.
