Molly Mating?

I believe I have 5 female yellow mollies as they all have small fins, do I have to buy a male yellow molly or can I buy another type of molly for them to breed?

you can if you like buy another male of any colour unless u wanna breed true colours.
They may even be pregnant now. when did u get them? as fry or adults?

They are young adults. I have had them a week. I just wanted to buy a male for them and wasnt sure if they had to be the same.

nope dont have to be the same, i myself like all diffrent coloured ones swimming about insted of a tank full of the same, but if you show or what not best to breed true.

my local walmart has a few pregnant mollies, i'm buying as soon as i have the chance. i've got tubs and hopefully new tanks coming in real fast. i can't wait to get them, plus a male.

with a male, as seen at walmart, it shouldn't be too long before they breed. the only time i ever had one have babies was premature, and i didn't even know she was pregnant. the babies didn't make it. a few almost did, but they were to week to move with the saks and stuff.

If they are young, they may not have sexed out yet. I would wait a while to make sure you don't have a male in the bunch.
