i have begun to notice more and more of my mollies are getting these bump like things on the tops of their heads. normally they have a straight look from the mouth to the top fin, but more and more are looking like they have a hump back. am i doing something wrong? i have white, black and redish orande mollies, but so far only the red/orange mollies have these humps. and i have had 6 die already. PLEASE HELP!!!

can you post your water parameters?
how many fish and how large is your tank?
what are you feeding them and what temperature are they kept at?
are the breathing heavily?
have they stopped eating?
are they lethargic?
are their fins clamped to their sides?

bumps ould be cancer, not sure.
there are two kinds of tumors: benign and cancerous. Might be a benign tumor?
Let's hope.
Good luck. :/

ok, i have about 15 orange mollies, 2 black and 2 silver mollies, 2 guppies, and a bottom cleaner in a 50 gallon tank (plus about 10 babies). i keep the temp around 76 degrees. they seem to be acting fine, they eat and swim ok. i have noticed a few of them will like do this funny rub on the rocks, or the plants. but they start out looking normal, then develop a hump just before the top fin. some are young, were the other are fairly older fish. it is only the orange mollies with the "hump". i called the pet store and they think it is just genetic and there is nothing i can do. i have already lost about 6 a week or 2 ago.
