came home to my tank today to find that one of my mollys had newborn
only five of them have survived tho....... and the mother died (must have been too much stress)

well, i have put the last 5 into a jug with holes in it, so its half in the water and they seem fine......
im just a little bit confused as to what im supposed to do with them, by all means i want to try and raise them up....

any ideas????????

thanks guys

Get some flake food and use your fingers to crush it really small. Feed a tiny pinch to them every few hours.

Is there a reason to place them in a jug? They're pretty good at hiding in the plants of your tank. Is the jug floating in the tank water?

the jug has holes in it that will allow for flow from the main tank
and if the fry were in my main tank they would be eaten thats for sure....

i actualy made another hatching area today.
its a cube, with bigholes cut out, then a clear net (like tights) around the outside, so the water and flow run through it fine and the fry cant get out....

Your latest invention sounds like it would be a great place to raise a small number of fry.
