Molly fry

untill they are big enough not to get sucked up the filter, or eaten by other fish. id say around a month

You can always buy a piece of foam to fit over your filter so they dont get sucked up...but be warned if they dont have lots of hiding places you are going to see them most likely get eaten by the other fish.

I put 6 three-week old molly fry in their own 10 gallon tank so they could grow out ...no other fish were included...the holes from the intake filter are smaller than the fry were, so I don't think that was the issue. 5 of them have died and 1 is still swimming around on his own. Putting them in this tank on their own was obviously a bad idea. I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong so I don't do it again. Is the tank too big? I wonder if they had trouble getting to the fry food. The tank was fully cycled, water temp was normal, etc. Any ideas? I used a normal-sized gravel...I wonder if they were getting trapped under the gravel.

You didnt really do anything too boviously wrong i dont think. Often times alot of the fry will die before they mature so you might have just had some bad luck. Keep trying :)
