I came in tonight to find one of my new mollies giving birth. After a mad rush to catch her and get her into the breeding trap, she popped 1 more, still-born unfortunately. I found 1 baby hiding above the powerhead. I think the rest must have been born and eaten whilst i was out.
She hasn't dropped any for almost an hour now. Am i safe to assume she is finished??
I suspected one of them was pregnant, but wasn't 100% sure.
The thing is, she now has fungus on her fins. Has anyone heard of fish developing this through the stresses of giving birth? I'm sure she didn't have it yesterday. I will get fungus treatment tomorrow (and liqui-fry)!
I know i shouldn't really use the breeding trap, but otherwise the fry would all have been eaten by the other fish. I don't have another tank. Doing my best under the circumstances.
