hey everybody,, i have molly fry 4 weeks old
am wondering how long does it take molly babies to grow ??
when can i put them in my main tank??

Welcome to our forum shamy.

A lot depends on what fish you have in the main tank. Taking the extreme case of a large oscar in that tank, the answer would be never. In the case of a mollies only tank, you can put them in right now. Most people's stocking is somewhere in between. As a rule, if a fry will not fit in any of the fish's mouths, it would be safe in a tank with them.

thnx a lot
i have mollies in my main tank,,, but am afraid if i put them together their mommy will eat them!
am tired of watching them day and night,, i want them to grow up fast  ,, anything i can do?

Welcome to the forum! You can always get another tank for the fry- it doesn't have to be big, even three gallons would do- and they might start growing a little faster than inside of a breeder net. If they're bigger than the other mollies mouths, they'll be fine. Once they figure out that they can't eat them, they should lose interest in the little guys. :good:

A female molly with fry that she lived with from the moment they were born. She dropped her fry in a small, 10 gallons, birthing tank without benefit of a trap. In this picture the "survivors" were at 27 days old.

At that size they are far more than a mouthful.

thank you oldman 47
i can see from the pic that babies are just like the size of mine
they are now 2 months old,, so i can put them with their mommy in main tank now?

It is a judgement that you must make for yourself shamy, but I certainly would not hesitate to mix a 2 months old molly fry with an adult.
