There is a brown mass between glass and rocks, it has black dots in them. What could it be?

No Mollies do not lay eggs, they are livebearers, which means they give birth to live fry.

Mollies are livebearers, but can "lay" eggs, in stressfull consitions, I doubt that the mass is eggs though. A picture would help

I didn't know that I guess the lady at petco didn't know that either!

Diatoms are like algae, just cut down on lighting and it should go away

Balas is just another name for Silver Sharks, dunno why people use it lol... they are silver sharks.

Its derived from their scientific name Balantiocheilos melanopterus.. a shoulding fish getting well over a foot long (30cm +) and shoaling meaning you need a minimum of 6+ of them = blasted great big tank needed.

Does it usually look like a mass with the little black dots in them? there not in any other place just in the part with the female mollie was.
