Mollies

hi can anyone help me with some info on mollies mine are breeding like it's going out of fashion i have a tank with 39 babies in which are nearly ready for the big tank bue she has given birth twice in 2 weeks and now have over 130 in my breeding tank.... do they ever stop or is this it from now on just constant breeding???? I used to have mollies many years ago but they never bred as much as this and especially over 60 babies at once and thats not including how many the crabs or siamese fighters have eaten arggggggg i don't have room for them!!!!

if you have females and males together this is not gonna stop. seperate your males from the females and still expect babies for a while as the females can store sperm for a while.

oh and welcome to the forum :)
 
:good: thanx for the quick response i tried to seperate them but the male sailfin spent all the time pining for her back i have a couple of females and he spends 24/7 chasing them about i'm not too sure which on is having the babies ......... the larger ones ive had for a few months have about 6 different colours in it some orange some white some spotty some transparent and am beginning to wonder if there are plattys as well as mollies in there oh i'm so confused now

Do a quick Google Image Search. Mollies are different in shape than Planties. They are longer and their mouths come to more of a point than Platies. They don't look alike when full grown. Do a search and you'll see it.
