Mollies Give Birth Then Die

Sorry if this has been covered already just looking for possible answers. I have had 3 different fry births with the mothers ending up dead. I thought at one point possibly my water but it tests fine, perhaps male needs to be moved as he does like to chase the females.

you seem to have answered your own question.
if he mithers the female then she will become more stressed and exhausted.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties JavaFish. I have never seen that happen in my own tanks. I have had many situations where I did not have the ideal male to female ratios and have honestly not seen it become as extreme a problem as most people would tell you it can be.

Sometimes they can get a fry caught in the birth canal. If that happens then chances are they female will die.
