mollie trouble

I have 2 mollies (1 dalmation). My white mollie seems to have a bit of trouble with its eye. It has gone all cloudy and looks a little swollen. Can anyone offer any advise as I'm not sure if it is pop eye or not.


Any advise would be gratefully appreicated.

I think it is cloudy eye or eye fluke. My discus had it, but as far as I know it isn't conatgious and does not in any way endanger the fish's health. I used melafix, and it cleared up in a couple of days.

BTW unless there is a visible protrusion of the eyes from the head, it is probably not pop-eye. I don't know if cloudy eyes are a side effect of this disease, but I doubt it. Usually poor water quality is to blame. test your water, and make appropriate water changes if necessary. (My discus got cloudy eye from a slight nitrite spike).
