hi do you think that if i added more mollies in to my aquarium to make 20 i have 12 at the mo.
the mollies will breed better

but i need to know from anyones past experience if the mollies will be to much to handle if i get loads of fry

i have a spare rekord 60 any way.

if you have 1 female and 1 male they will breed like mad, the best is to have 2 females to 1 male, however be careful these fish really breed fast and also have alot of fry ( 30+). i now have 3 big tanks full of mollies its cost me a fortune, i seperated the males and females in the end as i was getting rediulously over populated. good luck

firstly how bigs the tank?
how many males to females do you have? you have 12 already even 2 females should give you more than enough fry. do the fry have places to hide? when a mum is pregnant can you not just put her in your spare 60ltr tank this is by far the best thing to make sure you get fry. all livebearers will eat fry so putting in more wont mean you get more.

thx donna my fis tank is 180l ok its not got hardley any places for the fry to hide
but im going out today to redesign the tank thx for the advice
oh and i have 4 males 8 females

thn more plants/caves things with tiny gaps for the fry is what you need, then some will survive, then when you see them you could always tranfer them to the 60l
