Hey People

First Topic here...

Anyway.

I Have 2 females in my tank wh owhere BOTH pregant when i brought them...
they dident have much fry i'd say 4-5 (they could of been munched on over night i dont know..)

But in the past my family has had GREAT luck in breeding mollies ( Yes i know some-ones gunna post "BUT THERE EASY TO BREED" )

Anyway.

Today (This afternoon) i plan on buying 4 more females and 3 males ( i know the rules 1 male per 3 females)

Need some tips before i go

Can i crush Flakes up and feed them to the fry? Or doi have to buy Food for them?

And last of all

Where can i sell Mollies in
Birmingham West Midlands UK?

I Tryed my local fish store but they dont offer cash only Exchange... (But there nice people! they some-times give me free fish xD )

Bare in mind you might think im abit stupid.
But im 14 years old and have been looking ater fish since i was young...
(well me and mom & Dad have)


So any suggestions where to sell them?

How big is your tank,with the propect of 6 females all dropping you will be well overcrowded before long,unless you have a big fry tank.

I would just get 2 males thats plenty enough for 6 females,

Yes you can feed fry crushed up flakes,they also sell baby fry food also,which is finely crushed flakes by tetramin,this is what i use,liquidfry is messy in my opinion.

I find its best to separate fry has i can do daily water changes and feed 4 times a day.

When selling them try putting an ad in your local free paper and/or advertising here on the classified pages

I Have a 13 gallon (Its not THAT big but i hope to upgrade soon!)

Im pretty annoyed over the fact i spend £120 on a 60 liter when i saw a 180 liter one on this site for £120!

aah well.


A 13 Gallon will Do for now wont it?

Also how much should i sell the fry for?

gosh thats alot of money!

buy the 180l, sell the 60l on ebay

sell the fry on birmingham.gumtree.com (no www.)
bargain pages, ebay, here, papers etc

but i agree with harlequins, i would have max TWO males to the six females, but i would really only have ONE imo, as boys can fight for dominance

Thanks and yep... the tank was £60 stand was £40 + Gravel etc £20

Thestand was a rip off. i mean its "Chip" Wood.

And hat stuff breaks easly.
it said the pole was Metal but it was plastic.

And i have to as kmy dad for a 180... since

he has the van to pick it up in
i want the 180 for my mom xD but realy its for me xDD
dad wont argree to it unless i make the money XD
