Modified Need Some Help

i have probably asked this but for some reason cannot access the previous topics so i need to re ask.

1. can i add an oto or 3 to my current setup? depend if they like to be in groups.
current setup:
the 5 gold barbs, the 6 neon rainbows, and the mollys only, my catfish is in a qt because he trid to commit suicide, now he is by his little old self in a 5 gallon (hes only 1.5 inches and either he goes to the petstore after christmas or if something else pops up, so unless he becomes a 4" in the next week or 2, he willbe fine in there.)

i do have algae problems and hoping the otos will keep it down and when there isnt algae i am fully aware that i will need to provide further sustinence.

if you for some reaon dont know me 20 gallon high, slightly planted, adeqeutly lighted.

If you want otos you're tank is best off being thick with algae because they never stop eating and they don't take to foods so well so providing your algae doesn't suddenly disappear they shouldn't starve in your tank. They are beautiful little fish tho and i loved mine but my tank wasn't mature enough for them and there was a lack of algae. In the few weeks i had mine they never really showed interest in the algae wafers i fed them.

As for compatibility with your other fish i'm not too sure but I don't see anything big enough there to make a meal of them

i think im just gonna get 2 then so they dont go through it all at once, every day i have to algae clean so think it would be imposible for them to eat it all lol.

They are really cute little fish to watch. As long as your water quality is perfect you should be ok

if by water quality you mean NH[sub]4[/sub], NO[sub]3[/sub], and NO[sub]4[/sub] then im perfect, this tank has been set up since may 20.

so these would e my last 2 fish added and then plants!

Yeah that would be what i meant, it's getting late and my brain is ceasing to function. They are quite delicate little fish
