Hello!! I am new to this forum. I recently purchased 2 male Red Dwarf Gouramis. I would like to get these guys some lady friends but I did not see any Red Dwarf females. How would it work if I added for instance Blue Dwarf females? Or 2 Red Fire females?? Of course staying in the dwarf family...

So far these 2 males seem to be getting along. They pretty much stay out of each other way. I guess my other question would be since I already have 2 males that I am fond of can I had 4 females to balance out any tension??

Thanks for any advice that is offered!! :flowers:

They are all the same species with just different colours. It wouldn't matter if the female was either red or blue. Usually females are very dull in colour and lack the vibrant blue or red that the males have. Females are usually silver or a brown colour, but may have slight red or blue.

Adding 4 females is fine if you have the room for it, even 3 would be fine.

Thanks!! I guess my next question to anyone...Ordering fish off the internet? How does that work? Good idea?? Any good website suggestions??
