Mixing New Borns...

ok i have platys that at 6 days old and now I have female that has dropped and I have newborns that are 1 day old......

Is is safe to mix the 2 in a fry tank? What is the biggest age difference that I can mix?

These are my 1st fry ever....wish me luck............

There will be almos t no size diefference, definatley not enough to canabalize. I say go for it! Good Luck!

I mix them - even when they are a month or more apart sometimes... Shouldn't be a problem! Later you will find the bigger ones out-compete the little ones for food ---- but by then they'll be on the way to join the big ones.... Good luck!

^ I have platies from four different mothers mixed up, divided into containers based on physical size, not age. Platies with a vast size difference kept together - the little ones will be bullied and not grow.
