hello. i have a female opaline gourami and a male thick lipped gourami. he's built a bubble nest and she's very gravid. is it possible anything could be produced??
and how would you know when the nest has eggs in it??

please help!!

If they are really an opaline and a thicklipped, then nothing should happen.

You can normally tell, as the bubbles in the nest are filled with eggs, the male will guard it anxiously and work to keep the nest in good shape. You will also see him catching eggs falling from the nest and spitting them back in to the nest.

From experince Gourami egs are normally a dark yellow color so should stand out.
even if they wrap it would be a miracle if anything hatched.
leave them too it and let them enjoy there forbidden love.
