I just want to know about mixing foods and are they any good, i have 180L tank with a few mollies at the moment when it has fully cycled i will add some tetras, corys and a few other things i am using tetramin flakes and i also got the algae wafers for when i get my bottom feeders and also will get frozen bloodworm when i get more fish, but i see they do the flakes tetra pro colour and tetra pro energy can i mix these and it be ok?

I did ask the person who sells these online and they said it would be fine as fish like a mixed diet etc thought would get some advice here also if it is ok to do and are these pro colour and pro energy by tetra any good or are they just something for the company to make more money and really no difference than the normal flakes i use.

Thanks

I mix foods but they have different ingredients so I'm not just mixing the same thing so mixing is fine but make sure your mixing things that give multiple different good ingredients :)

Easiest way is to look at the ingredients for both and see if there's a difference - mostly ones that promote colour etc will have added things like carotenoids that normal cheaper flakes don't.

Never personally used either of those but I use other Tetra foods like the wafers and sinking pellets and they do have good reputation and are one of the most popular brands so they must be doing something right

yep mixing is fine, usually i pick one food for different days and another for others. just don't over feed and you are good.

Thank you for the info on this all
