So the other day i had posted about me getting a 55Gal tank, well. i think i was to quick to look over the fact that it wasnt a 55gal tank. in fact it is a 75Gal tank. So what should i do for this 75Gal tank. As i have to get a new lid and a stand for the 75Gal tank.

So i need new ideas for Freshwater Tank Occupants after i get the group of cories (albino and peppered cory group of 5 each).
As well as some decor i will be needing since i may be adding Cichilds to the tank instead of small fish like danios and neon tetras.

So with the fish as big as Cichilds what other tank mates should i be adding to the tank once i get the cycle completed

XD, i am happy its a 75Gal as it means i can put more fish into it(mostly bigger fish)

And is your water hard or soft, for those of us that can't remember :)

since i havent done any water within the tank yet, i dont know if it is hard or soft. I would like to have a more exotic tank rather than a bland cory danio and neon tank. and with the new measurements rather than a 55 Gal, i can actually hold some of the fish that will make a tank lively. I would assume since my 20Gal tank has a Gh of 3 now, that its soft? and the measurements are with the black trim --- 48.5In x 18.5in x 21.2inc

If your planning on a planted tank, Angels and apistogrammas? If you want some of the bigger South American cichlids (which would be better suited to your water than Africans), maybe a couple of severum? you could buy 6 or so small ones and once you get a pair, rehome the others. Severum are fairly peaceful cichlids and can be kept with some of the larger tetras as long as they are too big to fit in their mouths. I'd still have cories though :)

yea and i am keeping the cories until they die from age. I will be getting spotted cories and some more albino cories as well as some angelfish(max size ones 7In). if i can afford the 2 Plant lights for my tank, i will be sure to get it to a heavily planted tank. As i will need to get a 2nd filter(suggest a brand). so i may be able to use my 40-75Gal filter as well as i am using a 2 filter system. one for each side of the tank, as well as probally using a 100+gal heater that will reach to both side of my tank.

Also, with the plants, would petco have those plants, if not where could i get them for a cheap price as i know i want a different aesthetic look rather than my bland 20Gal tanks

But also i need fish that wont eat my assassin snails

I don't know what Ebay suppliers in USA are like but the plants I've bought online in UK have always been great quality. This is the last lot I bought. Great value I thought. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100-FISH-TANK-PLANTS-LIVE-AQUARIUM-AQUATIC-TROPICAL-COLDWATER-FRESHWATER-PLANT-/191806292506?hash=item2ca88bc21a:g:peQAAOSwo0JWOxvS

Be aware that planted tanks and large cichlids will be a challenge. They do like to dig.

There are very few fish that eat snails and even less that will eat assasins. Puffers & Botia are the only ones I can think of offhand that will.

i dont plan to get puffers, and with my sand substrate being 3-4Inchs deep, my plants wont be uprooted to easily, i also need it that deep for my assassins to actually be able to hide inside the sand rather to how they are inside my 20Gal tank. and i do mean this is a major upgrade from 2 20Gal tanks. Im going from a 20 to a 75 Gal tank, with 2 lights, 2 filters, 1 100Gal heater, and plenty of hidding places and new fish to be put into the tank

would you guys recommend any specific fish to be paired with corys that are bigger than 4Incs?

or just any fish bigger than the zebra danios.neon tetras that i dont want
