I have just purchased 3 Pearl Gourami two days ago. Since then, I have a dead Harlequin Rasbora, a dead Rummy Nose Tetra, and two of the three new Gourami have vanished. I took my tank apart today, nothing. The last time I went through disappearing fish was when I had two Dwarf Flame Gourami. These are the only two times in 10 years I've ever had fish disappear. This must be more than a coincidence. The remaining Gourami was definitely the most aggressive out of the three, I recognise him/her easily as it has a bump on its head. I just read another post with a similar situation where the owner thought his gourami was killing at night when it's darker. Any thoughts?

Can you post a picture of the sick/ dead fish and the gouramis?

How big is the tank and how long has it been set up for?

Have you checked the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH, and if yes, what were the results?

How often do you do water changes and gravel clean the substrate, and how much water do you change?

Gourami don't just vanish. Have you got a lid on the tank? what sort of filter do you have?

Even if the Gourami killed the other 2 where are the bodies?

Two more dead Tetras this morning. They were alive and seemed normal when I went to bed last night.

I have a cf500 filter in a 30 gal tank which has a tight fitting lid.
Water changes 25% every Sunday.
Ammonia and Nitrite 0, Nitrate 25, ph 7.

can you post a picture of the sick, dead and healthy fish?

the fish in the picture looks like a rummynose tetra with a bacterial infection. I can't tell anything from the video but if the other fish that died have red patches on their belly you might want to treat them with a broad spectrum medication.
