I have a 55 gal. tank with African Cichlids-Electric Yellows, Red Zebras and Blue Johannis, totaling 12. The only non Cichlid is a 9" Pleco. There is no threatening behavior out of the normal. I do a 25-30% water change every 10 days. Temp is 80 degrees. I test the water for ammonia regularly. This morning the pleco's eye had a white film on the surface and when I came home from work I found it completely missing the eye. The eye socket is hollow. It is swimming around normally. None of the fish in the tank ever bother with him. Any ideas? What next?
