Oh my god!!!

I am so sad  , i just aquired my new long finned albino zebra danio for less then 3 days and now its gone...am i practically mean GONE!!! he just dissappeared from the tank!!! vanished without a trace!!! i was still admiring him the night before i slept and this morning, i could not find him anymore!!! i have search the tank and even the filters but still could not find him, not even his body if it was dead!!! i have overturned the rocks, serach thru the plants but did not find him...

my tank is covered with just a 2cm gap on the top, so i dun suppose it jumped out, anyway, i still search the surrounding but still could not find him. so i came to the conclusion that he might have been eaten by someone else!!! but who? i only have a bronze cory, a short finnned zebra danio, and 2 colombian tetra in my tank. who would do such a cruel act? even if it was eaten up, shouldn't there be at least a little remains of the bones? i am devastated, he was my favourite, had such lovely fins that flows like silk, so graceful, and peaceful...never bothered the others... i can't believe he's gone...sob sob :-(

:-( I am very sorry for your loss... not knowing what happened is hard. Hopefully he will turn up or maybe you'll have some idea as to what happened. I think that if the other fish consumed him you would have found something left, but you never know. Keep us posted if you find anything out. :/

this happened to me too. 2 of my zebra danios dissappeared. I think someone ate them. Thats my only suggestion. I didn't find any remains either but I can't figure out any other possibility

i had the same happen with a molly. now a mollys a tad big to be eaten by neons and yet it just dissapeared/ ive since changed the gravel to sand and still no body!

I don't think any of the fish you listed would kill a zebra danio, most likely it jumped out of the tank.

i had a similar problem, but the fish had lodged itself between the gap on the filter and the thermometer lucky didn't die but not sure how long it was there for, spent about a day looking for it, thought i'd taken it out when i was taking out the excess food.
