We dont have thoes but we actually have something like that. We also have window screen so I think we'll be able to make one *fingers crossed* I wonder if maybe I can get a plant that will grow on the screen.. or would that be a bad idea?

I was actually suppose to be looking for a green betta for my bf.. oops. I wonder if he'll accept miss america instead

You can indeed grow some plants on the window screen but I can't really advise on that and if they didn't have a green betta that would be a good compensation

Well I saw a couple pics of a green betta on google and thought that would be a perfect starter fish for my bf. His favorite color is green and since bettas have so much personality it would have been perfect.. but the only ones ive seen in any stores around here are red white and blue. Sometimes turquoise. I dont even see anyone selling them, but I couldnt order online anyway, shipping cost way to much.

We got the screen in! But he has slipped through somewhere! He slipped through showed off for her and as soon as I left to get the net he slipped back. He's playing tricks on me now. But Ma (miss america) is enjoying the space.. i take that back now she slipped through gah! I keep missing how their doing this!

Either just going through the sides or jumping since you might see if they have dug lol. Green is actually rare if I remember correctly and all the bettas I have gotten are from LFS lol but yet to see any greens but have seen plenty of non norms which is nice, saw a Dragon betta and 3 plats I think 3 or 4 days ago but no green v.v

Right after I posted I saw him go through, its on the back side. I made sure it was at least an inch above the water so they couldnt jump. I put two tall grass like plants near the area they were getting through so maybe that will stop them for now. They both switched sides but I guess that's fine as long as they arent together attacking eachother. I have thoes cheap bulb plants (sorry forgot what there called) growing in there right now along with a moss ball.

What my luck that the color he likes would be rare. Grr.. Time to come up with a plan B. I'm trying to get him hooked on Fish like me so he'll want more haha! Well see. Maybe he'll get attached to Ma and spear.

Hopefully lol and my bettas "swim" through thick plants I have java moss set up for them to play in and instead they like to try to see if they can make it through it.

Still didnt work, I'll probably have to angle it so that the gap isnt there any more. I think when I had mom put it in she bent it a bit to make it fit. SHe must have made it a little to big. But Ma keeps going to Spear, he doesnt he go to her anymore.

I went for a quick walk and came back finding them on the same side together but not bothering eachother. I think my fish are very odd sometimes.. lol

Maybe you could some how breed a large group of bettas to where they don't try to kill each other and you can have more then 1 of male and female mixed so you never have to worry about to much Oh wait that was my plan once I get enough money hmmmm

lol! I think I already have that, Spear will flare sometimes but he never nips, or chases her, and when they want to be alone they go to the oppisite side of the screen. If he made a nest I really would consider breeding but he never even attempted even before I got Ma.

Plus I wouldnt know what I'd do with them all.. probably just give them all away since I wouldnt have the room to keep them lol.

To be honest she should be fine with the guppies..much better option than divided male/femalle when they are getting thru the divider. I've kept lots ofmale bettas with guppies and never had an issue. Just be careful of that divider. They can and will squeeze thru the tiniest of gaps. I'd hate to hear a tragic event should they decide they wont tollerate each other even if things are peaceful for the moment.

Well before we made the divider we had her in with the guppies, but she kept trying to swim through the glass that happened to be going towards him and he the same but towards her.. they kept that up for a good hour.

But after I put in the divider even after I found out they could slip through it's been going pretty well. They dont harm eachother just show off a little. Spear will flare for a second then swim off and she'll follow him. Then when he's on the other side of the tank she'll twril her body showing off her fins. But as cute as it is, I'll be adjusting the divider so that they cant slip through anymore. I just wont be so paranoid that they will harm eachother the second they get.
