Hi, the tank i plan on using for a betta currently has a mirror for a back wall, and i dont know what to do about covering it up. If i just leave it the poor betta will tire himself out flaring at himself

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Depends on the temperament of the betta. If he is a timid boy, he will most probably get bored of himself but if he is aggressive he will probably do him self more harm than good :/

I have a question about a mirror, too. Bill is full of himself - He's graceful and once I put a big mirror by his bowl for a few minutes; he loved it. I have this really little mirror that could go inside his bowl. Should I put it in?

No. Don't put it in. It's good for them every once in awhile, but flaring constantly is bad, he will exhuast himself.

Just do what you were doing. I suggest every day let him flare for 10 minutes or so. All day everyday is not good, but every once in awhile is fine. :)

has a mirror for a back wall,

Well, I would think doing things to cover it up would work... I'm fond of using the plastic mesh you can get at craft stores ^_^ I don't think you'd want to try and paint, since the mirror is facing into the tank, right? umm, pretty much anything thats thin and safe to cover it up should work.
