I'm from the Minneapolis are and looking for Java Moss/Fern for my Betta. Can any one tell me what stores here may have these plants?

Thanks!

In the Har Mar Mall in St. Paul (technically in Roseville, perhaps?), there's a pet store. They have lots of plants and fish. I don't know if they have Java Fern or Moss. I'll check today when I go there. Let me know if you need directions to the place.

Let me know if you see anything. I'm down in Eden Prairie so it's a bit of a drive and I work until 6pm..

I've shopped at A World Of Fish in Richfield (66th St near Cedar)... still a bit of a drive for you, but for me too and I think it's worth the drive! They have a pretty good selection of plants and I think I've seen Java Fern there.

Another good shop and closer to you is Aqualand Aquarium Center in Hopkins. It's been a while since I made that long drive, and don't remember their plant selection. Might be worth a call to them! They have another shop in So Mpls that I go to quite often and they have Java Fern.

BTW, I've used aquariumplants.com, and would recommend it w/o a doubt!

Yeah, I was going to recommend this one. Great store, I think far far better than the sister store in Hopkins. I'm actually going to be going there to pick up some Java Moss tonight (pretty sure they have it, not positive)!

Terre Quatics in Champlin is all freshwater, and they have a ton of plants (the guy who runs it is a plant dude I think), you might check it out but the hours suck - weekdays until 7 and closed Sundays.

Hi Max Action! I've only been to Terre Quatics once, and it was during their move to the new location, so he wasn't all set up yet. I'll have to go back one of these days... the guy at the store was real nice.

I don't know if the Har Mar Pet Shop has Java Moss/Fern. Most of their plants aren't labeled, and I'm not good at identifying aquatic plants. They do have lots and lots of plants though and some gorgeous planted tanks! I got a couple of Corkscrew Vallisneria plants - they were 98 cents each. I think I'm going to go get more.

They also have Bettas there - "regular" and Crowntails. Very pretty...

Here to report that the Aqualand on Chicago Ave has good plant selection. I've been there so many times, but never wanted plants, so only tonight noticed that almost all their tanks also have plants in them for sale.

And TONS of Java Moss and such.

A World of Fish does have Java Fern - I got some from there yesterday :) Har Mar Pet Shop also has Java Fern, as well as Java Moss.
