so i went away for the weekend but a few days earlier i noticed my one mono had a white side, maybe just damage but maybe fungus. I threw in some pimafix and melafix for about 3 days and upped the salinity. They are being kept at around 1.003/1.004sg so i bumped it up to 1.005/1.006sg (at least according to my hydrometer), Now i thought the filter would handle this but maybe i threw in more salt than i realized
My mono had healed up fine but I noticed some blood underneath the scales on both of my golden wonder killifishes, so i did an ammonia test and low and behold .50ppm.
two questions, Did the mela or pima fix have anything to do with it? And if i drop the salinity back down to where it was 3 days ago or so, will it help the bacteria colony stabilize? or shoul do water changes keeping the current Sg?
