This tank is reaching 10 months old now, with its last actual inhabitants leaving in January. Since then, nature has taken over B-). The only thing I do with this tank now is water top-ups and a small feeding of Novo prawn every few days. Now that the plants in this tank are no longer viable for use in other projects, I've been wondering about adding some new microfauna and seeing how they hold up. Seed shrimp and amphipods are the current front-runners. I do need to invest in a microscope camera as the macro lens doesn't do these little things justice.

Oh Crimony ! There’s hydra in there too . I beat mine but they came back after being gone for nearly a year . No new fish or plants in the aquarium but I suspect heavy feedings of BBS for my Endler’s fry reawakened them .

I love a good fishless fish tank. I've had a few that got so full of seed shrimp, copepods, worms, and daphnia that I was just tempted to let them alone. But man, were the fish ever fat and happy when I finally added them...
