Mg/l To Ppm ?

I got myself a Tetra test kit and found that it uses mg/l rather than ppm, how do they compare, does it matter ?

mg/l is the same thing as ppm. So 4ppm ammonia is the same as 4mg/l ammonia

Well there are some conditions where this may not be necessarily true, but as far as aquarium test kits are concerned, they are the same thing.
