Metriclima Estharae

is this a Metriclima estharae as i had a look at it today against some others and its body shape seems different to the Metriclima estharae.

Thanks apart from that black thing on its tail it startd as a brown dot and now has sorta smeered any ideas?

would you say this is an estherae aswell.

1st pic is definately an Estherae. Bottom one could be a hybrid as the colour is pale and the body shape isn't quite right.

was reading a book today and it said for best results and to distribute aggresion in a tank my size i should have around 20 fish it said this would also bring out there colour more. Is this right here is my current list im def getting one more estherea and one more lab.

If it hadn't changed, i would put it down to a slight genetic flaw but if the appearance of the spot has altered it could be some sort of parasite. Is the fish healthy and active?

Yeah it hasnt changed it behavior at all you can see it in the pic at the top of this thread i took the fish out and had a look at it it wasnt stuck to its fin like it with part of its colour.

Its probably OK then and it's just a skin pigment, bit like one of the blotches on an OB zebra.

You may not want to go as high as 20 but you could stop stocking now or maybee even add a few more its up to you.
