Methylene Blue

Hi

I really really hope I am not going to sound really stupid now but just how blue is methylene blue?

I have just dosed my small tank that contains BN plec babies and I now cannot see through the water!

Shocked at how blue the first pipette full sent the water I went back and double then triple checked the dosage guidlines and then added the rest of the dose - I have to say I am quite shocked by the colour still.

Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Yes i know used it,, it will lose it blue soon takes a while.

I hate that stuff, i have bogwood and other ornaments stained by it . Yes, though, it is supposed to be very blue .

I added the stuff on Friday and the tank is still very blue now! I'm gonna do a water change tonight though.

I reckon its turned the fishes pee blue!!

I guess it called Methylene Blue cos it's blue Had a bad experience with that stuff. Added it without my glasses and put too much in. After the second fish floated by I did an emegency water change. As all this was done at the last minute before leaving for 2 week holiday I nearly missed the plane I say I, not we cos she went on anyway
