Meth Blue

Right, since I had a major outbreak of disease / injury I used meth blue to sort everyone out.

Only issue is, even after 90+% water changes - I STILL have meth blue water! Its soaked my silk plants, killed off my froggbit and stained my coconut caves.

How can I remove it from the plants and caves to stop it leeching back into my water? Or is it a case of massive water changes til it goes?

Meth is a git for this.
It does warn you that it stains things on the bottle.
I'm thankful it wasn't a Biorb tank, as Meth blue will stain the entire tank.

no, its pretty nasty stuff, and impossible to remove from rocks, and ornaments, even turns the silicone blue, it will be in your filter sponges too, and it also kills off all the beneficial bacteria in your filter so you will need to re-cycle the tank. di

That i didn't know until after I had dosed everyone and mewmew informed me that it would kill everything off in my filters - so I now have FOUR uncycled - fish in cyle tanks

I put meth blue into my 125 its stained all my rainbow rock :\

but after a while it faded off so it will eventually go, I promise!

just water changes and add some carbon to help it

how are all the fish doing? are they better? I heard about Hunter

ah poop - and now the snow has set in there is no way I am fighting the cold with the tanks right now. A change isnt actually due I just wanna get rid of the meth blue.

I am devestated about Hunter, but everyone else seems to be doing very well. Had to divide my girls up as I have had some major fights which ended me needing to remove fatty and even more fighting and injuries
