Fish Fanatic
I went to thatfishplace today to get the HOB coralife 150 watt metal halide light.
When I got there the guy working there told me that the K2 viper was SO much better, so I bought that.
I like that light a lot better because it has glass covering the light to keep salt out and has a huge fan.
The coralife one had a metal grate and nothing else protecting the light which I guess was to keep it cool. But the fan was TINY.
Well now I got home and fired it up and it takes a few minutes to fully light up which I read was normal for a new light.
What I'm worried about is everything I read about the older 2005 models (bulbs and ballasts not working after a few months)
Also, after I turn off the light I have to wait for it to cool down before it will turn back on again, is that normal?
Thanks for your help guys!
