Merry Fishmas!

I want to start this off by saying...

WAHOO!

My dad has basically offered and endless supply of money to redecorat the 50 gallon- a few more fish to add to the schools we have now, many new plants, maybe driftwood.

And I have a hundred bucks (split, half on a Wal-mart giftcard) Hm, I wonder what the fish-lover will buy -Ponders-

Just wanted to put it past you guys, first.

Dad. 6 more Danios, 1 more Angel, 3 more Platies. Plantsplantsplants!
Giftcard. Two 2g tanks with light & filter, if not a complete 5g and divider. Other fishie-things.
50. Fish. Female bettas for the 10g (maybe... six? At a dollar each, I could buy tons!) and the most expensive, most gorgeous male I can find.

Must... Buy... FISH!

On another note, my boyfriend has offered to buy me a fish. A betta, to be precise. I have never mooched off of him, in a year and a half, but this... Too much to pass up =D

Anyone else 'wasting' on the fishbrats, this year?

Get the most expensive betta you can find.

As for Walmart stock, I wouldn't trust it.

My suggestion: get the female dwarf gouramis and bettas for there. Quarantine for about 4 weeks in those 2 gallon tanks. (That works out nice, doesn't it? .

Plants is a good idea.

Suggestions: Don't go overboard. Quarantine. Ammonia and nitrite spikes appear to be imminent. Make a plan of where to put plants before adding them. Remember that the plants willgrow, as will the fish.

Oh, and try the dwarf lilly bulbs from Walmart. I put three bulbs in, and had two late bloomers, but all are coming in well. The Aponogeton aren't very appealing to the eyes, though.

I wasn't planning on buying Wal-mart fish. The fish are coming from a huge pet store called Aqua Tropicale- it has the best deals and stock I've ever seen. Seriously; 25 cents for five feeder Guppies, a buck a Betta, free with a Betta-tank, 3.50 for ten zebra Danios!

I was going to buy Betta-tanks and things at Wal-mart, and that was it. Well, maybe some toys, because I am such a child, but otherwise things will be bought at AT.

holy man... zebra danio's are 3.50 a peice here!

and feeder ''goldfish'' are 75 cents for 1... man ur lucky!
