hi all i just got my self a biorb tank today and washed all the media set up the tank etc then added warter but it's not very clear will it clear up over night or do i need to empty and add warter again? thanx guy's :good:
 
just leave for a few days it will clear up
 
Agree with above, happened to my tank.

lol ok thanx guys so why is it mUrky anyway is it because the media stuff?

and is there any water solutions i should bye before adding any fish? :)
 
is your gravel clean
clean the inside of your filter if its old

its all new equipment just got today i did clean the gravel/media maybe not enough tho. just looking at some tank set ups and the warter is crystal clear and mine abit dull pluss boubles all around the side of the tank what can stop that aswell? im picky arnt i lol :)

if so just leave it for a few days really it will be crystal clear soon enough leave the filter running and the heater on
was it brand new or second hand ?
and when you cleaned the gravel was the water clear after washing the gravel

yeah i set it up today it was all brand new, after cleanig gravel the warter was clear it aswell. ill keep the filter runnig as you say and have a look tomorow. thanx for all your help forby3 :good: i noticed the filter had little pellet type things in it under to spongey bit am i suposed to leave them in? i did! :)
 
ermm yes leave them in the filter in fact i havnt got a clue what they could be as i dont really no much about the biorb filter system but im guessing that its part of the media i.e carbon or sumthing like that but honestly just leave ya tank and i will clear just out of interest now whaty you going to be putting in the tank (fish wise)

im undecided yet im thinking maybe a single male betta for my first fish but i would like to eventually own some more tropical fish like clown fish etc one day but in a larger/better tank. will i need to add salt to my warter for a betta fish? :)
 
do you have a api liquid tester kit if not get 1 to do you water checks
