Hi,I am from Hong Kong...
I have growing Aquatic plants for two years,
This is the first time I worked on a Layout design. Hope everyone advises me

I found it is not easy to present a designed layout, My Aquascaping now is abit different from what I thought in half year ago..
The idea firstly came to my mind in a year ago was "Quiet Night Memories"...
I was trying to present a very silence remote country side at night...where likes the place I grow up...
moreover, wanted to present a emotion and feeling of a traditonal family...relax, quiet and feel free at night time....
all people there can do it was watch the stars and listen to bugs singins...
Besides, the Idea maybe nice for telling, but when I do it, I found I am not too good to make it real...

referrences brought me ideas :
pictures that inspire me...

thx for veiwing

that looks amazing,

you really have nothing to be dissapointed about it truely is amazing

:hi: to TFF Cliff ! It's just wonderful to have you guys posting here. Apologies for grouping "you" all together, but when I say "you" I mean those with these seemingly really professional tanks and stunning aquascapes - which is truly fantastic inspirational.
But at the same time also so very disheartening because some of us have been trying for such a long time - investing time & money (lots of both!) and don't get anything even remotely close

I would like to understand how you created your aquascape though - do you have some photos of "work in progress" from when you started this tank ?

Edit: Oh and just to add - I wish I could "advise", but I'm clearly too much of a novice.

Also, stunning photography :good: did you take the photos yourself ?

I run out of things to say when i see tanks that look THIS amazing. You sure have some talent!
As bloo said, some wip in progress pictures would be great, as with many of these high quality planted tanks we often only see the finished product. Thanks.

Wow, i'd love if my tank was as 'unsuccessful' as this! Your modesty is misplaced, Cliff Hui. That is one beautiful tank...

Not another one! Blimey you guys (as bloo says ;)) certainly know how to scape an aquarium! It looks cool, like the added gravel river thing in the middle. Also love the glass fish he's cool  and in great health too by the look of him.

Whats the red plant in the third photo?

Sam

BigIan,
Thank you for your support....I will try harder...

Bloo,
Thanks for your kind words.. I am glad to post here. and the price of aquarium related equipments are really cheaper here in Hong Kong..even in Asia...
We do not spend too much on such a layout...since there is so many cheap china made equipments. Of course I against the industry who stolen the idea and technique of making equipments....hehe...sorry if I make it too complicanted... :p
I will have a brief setup presentation later on, give me some time to prepare...thx...
and yes, I take the photo myself, and I am very new in photography, still learning about it...
thx for veiwing... :D

Themuleous,
Thank you very much, Sam. I like the fishes also, but they are hard to keep.. :shout:
and the red plants named "Hygrophita Polysperma var."Rosanerrig"..

craynerd,
Hi again, Chris, I use the tank's lamp T5H0 and T8 for the main lighting, and for the back, I used a blue card board few inches behind the tank, and put a small lamp between the tank and the card board...
I had tried this for many times...this is the best one...hope you enjoy it...
and it is a real lighting effect...

Oh boy! Another beautiful tank. I love the contrast in colours and the back ground effect is amazing.

Welcome to TFF Cliff and thanks for sharing your wonderful work. I love the style, it is quite unique in that you appear to have both Dutch and Nature infuence.

Yet another treasure from the Far East! I am so glad that guys like you, Justin, Wayne and Gary are contributing to our forum. You provide much inspiration.

Your tank is just too incredible for words. I love your humphead glassfish, quite rare.

RYO,
Thank you.... :D

gf225,

AMS,
