It snowed today! A lot as well, considering this is the south of the UK. This morning it was absolutely chucking it down with snow and it even layed on the beach within minutes (laying on a salty beach is quite impressive in itself) and it was so heavy the traffic was barely moving some of the way home.
Then we had to make our way to the church for my nephew's christening, and it snowed all the way through the service and only stopped mid afternoon whilst we were having a snowball fight :D
It's just started to melt, however a cold night is ahead of us so it'll all freeze by the morning
It was very thick this morning though.

Shame I couldn't really get any pics that show how thick it was, you'll just have to take my word for it ;)

Great pics George

We didn't get that much. Only a dusting and by 10am it had basically all melted. Did snow more throughout the day, but it melted before it even hit the ground.

:good:

thanks guys,

not a trace of snow was left by mid day today :(

Great photos as usual Geo, must have a nice camera ;)

We've been getting a day or two in the 15.5-20 degree range (that's celsius of course) then all the sudden I wake up and there is like 4 inches of snow on the ground. It's getting annoying since normally we're well into the first part of spring by now over here in the western USA.

Must be fun for you though, especially if you don't get snow that often.

Thanks SLC ;)

Yeah sounds the same as here, last week was beginning to feel like summer, I was even tempted to turn the air con on in the car sometimes, then it suddenly turned cold over the weekend and then we get a load of snow dumped on us

It was really cool though, I don't think we've had that much snow in my whole 16 years of existence  well, maybe once, but that was a loooong time ago.
