Melafix

hi
ive got in some melafix,i know you have to be carefull with clown loach,
is it safe to use with clowns?.

nothing as yet,i was going to try it if my fish got fungus,or body slime as it says on the bottle,also it says you can use it when adding new fish,i bought it because its a natural med and wanderd if it would be better?
to be honest i got it because my mollie looked like she had a small amount of fungus, but today she gave birth to many kids now she looks ok.so now im keeping it just incase ,thats why i was wandering about the loach.

Never use melafix but if she does have fungus i would use the anti fungus and finrot med.

as melafix is a natural product it is fine to use with any fish.
I would use melafix first for fungus over any other fungal medication as they are chemicals and not natural
IMHO, always go natural first and chemicasl as last resort.

Everybody entitled to there opion, but if it was me and it was columnaris wouldn't risk melafix.

ok I thought we were discusing fungus, not columnaris
two totally different things.
if columaris then yes a chemical treatment would be the way to go

ok so would my clown be ok,if i needed to use it?nothing on the bottle says anything about it being harmfull to clown loaches

It should be fine as long as you increase aeration more the parasites med with clown.
