My male has died today! 2 days after treating with Melafix?

Need more info i'm afraid.

Symtoms the fish were showing for using the med.
Did the fish act odd after adding the med.

Not all fish can tolerate the full dose of melafix.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

I read on here a while back that apparently the use of Melafix causes issues with Gourami's Labrynth gland???

Tank stats Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 20 PH 7.2 temp 26'c

My Purple apple snails have all succumbed to something too I just have none moving purple shells!

The Gourami had an inflamed top lip and it had swollen then eventually burst and looked torn I treated with half the usual dosage requirement 3 days ago and he was doing ok and the mouth looking better then last night when I got home to Gourami was having a fit at the bottom of my tank and could not stay upright or balanced and just ended up upside down? and of corse all my snails were dead too???

The melafix could of killed the snails.
The bacteria infection of the mouth could of caused the fish death.
Did it look like an injury or a bacterial infection.

i read some where that with gouramis and discus youre supposed to half dose them when using melafix.

Melafix is harmless to snails. I suspect something else was going on in the tank.
