Meet Scraps!

This is my new Betta fish, Scraps!
I was itching for a blue-and-white Betta fish and my LFS (who is actually a fish junkie himself) understood how badly I wanted a specific Betta. They only had a few left, but recently received a shipment of them in that had yet to be put out on display.
I found this adorable little guy and his fins were all cut up and he looked miserable. I just HAD to take him home and help him recover!

He's a tough little guy
He sits on the shelf of the computer desk I have in his Fluval Spec and every now and again he'll flare out his gills at me ready to fight. It's adorable. For someone that had such a rough start, I'm glad he's enjoying his new home so well! Hopefully his fins will grow back their last bits soon <3

He's lovely, and I think his name suits him! I have a feeling his blue is going to spread further down his fins!

Nice! I've noticed those fins heal up faster than you expect! It seems like my little beat up female Snowdrop had all her tears mended up in a week... Of course it was more like two, and a male will take longer to re grow chunks, but it seems like it happens remarkably fast!

Thanks everyone!!! Yeah, he's a cutie, and so feisty! If I do homework on the desk he's on he likes to flare up his gills and glare at me with rage, haha!

I'm going to pick up some bettafix on my way home from class tomorrow night. I got him some real plants for his tank. Amazon crypts or something of the sort. He seems very pleased with them. Bettas never struck me as densely planted tank fish but my betta's little eyes glow when he nestles into the long stems of the plant
