Around 5 weeks ago I went to my lfs and saw a little male, all alone in a tiny tank.
He was white, with small black spots on his side. He was so beautiful, but I had no room for him at the time, so I had to leave him there. :grr:
I went back a few days ago hoping he would still be there, although I wasn't too hopeful as it had been 5 weeks..
I walked over to the Betta display to find that same little guy there hiding behind a little pot.
He is a marble, and had more black on him this time.
So, I took him home to treat his fin rot and to give him a well deserved feed.

Dex is is a tad shy right now but he is warming up to me more and more each day

Everyone, meet Dexter! :D

Since these photos, Dex has moved into his permanent home, a divided tank.
So far he is eating like a little piggy and growing his fins back :)

Also, help on identifying his tail type would be great :good:

Adorable!!! He looks like a combtail maybe or a veiltail with some chewed up fins

Thanks everyone!
I'll just have to wait until his fins grow back, then I'll be able to tell his tail type. He was there at the lfs with lots of CT males, but he has too much webbing I think?
His caudal edges are kinda straight so I'm unsure about him being a VT. Either way I'm fine with anyway :D
