My female guppy MAY have fin rot, my male guppy definately has it. They only problem is that the female is pregnant, and I don't want her to abort the fry.
Any suggestions? Should I add medication, and, if so, which kind of meds?
Please help, I can't wait for her to have babies.

Melafix is a really good med for finrot and should notice that the fin heals it's self in about 4 days if caught early enough. King British fungus and finrot med is good to, I've had loads of problems with persistent finrot on guppies mainly affecting the males. just as it's under control and gone away, i restart to rebuild my tank up with stock and it happens again.

Main thing is to keep the water parametres just right any change in them will tigger off a disease. I lost several 2-3 pregnant guppies to finrot, so all i can say the sooner you treat the better the recovery rate.

If you choose to use Melafix make sure you add a airstone and pump as it minimises the oxygen levels in the tank.

Whats the levels of ammonnia and nitrite? do you test for these on a regular basis?
