Medicine For Fungal Problem

Hi. I have treated my poor beat up pirahana with some antifungal medicine and it's made his water very cloudy. He has been in his "sick tank" for about 3 weeks now and I've done the 25% water change 3x but it's not helping. Is the cloudy water bad for him? It's taken some effort to get him back to a healthy fish and I don't want murky water to "do him in".
Any suggestions??

Tank size is 10 gallons (he'll be upgraded to his larger one soon)
temp is 82 degrees
He had a fungal infection (cottony behind his fin) on his side from being bitten by my other RBP and he had no symptoms other than having a huge gash in his side and no tail 0.o (he was breathing rapidly and still is but he's an extremly nervous fish)
Frequency of H20 changes are 25% every 7 days as indicated on the medicine bottle
chemical additives are just the tetra safe and pimafix (the medicine which hasn't been added in 2 weeks)
In the tank are my pirahana (by himself) , a few plastic plants and gravel
And the filter is an AQUACLEAR (came with the elite tank I purchased)

If the fish is in a 10 gallon and torn up you should be doing a 50% water change daily. Bacterial infections are often the underlying problem, the fungal problem you are seeing on the surface are secondary. I'm assuming you are in the US or Canada, Maracyn & Maracyn II, with daily water changes are the way to go.

I've dealt with plenty of torn up fish due to breeding aggression, you need to jump on it with large daily water changes in a med tank, along with melafix. If antibiotics are needed you need to remed daily.

I was told this would stress the fish out too much, but if that's not the case I will be sure to do that

I've healed up angels that were missing 2/3 of their fins with daily water changes & melafix. Water cleanliness is the most important thing with any injury. This can prevent any infection from starting.
