I checked out a few different threads...
The general consensus seems to be to NOT use salt, or, if you have an infection to use only a small amount and then don't replace it, if the cories are constantly in salty water it doesn't burn them, but damages them internally as they cannot absorb the salt. Bascally do not add salt to a cory aquarium all the time.
So on that note, I think I'll stick with the medications themselves...
