What medication is best for freshwater fish with possible internal injuries?

One of the new fighters I bought today (Ck-1) appears to have constipation, but it looks like two white worms sticking out. It's not worms, but it bugs me that they just hang their. His fins are clamped and he's staying near the surface. He'll flare at the presence of another betta as if nothing were wrong with him, but then he'll revert back to his constipated state when the coast is clear. Could it be an internal injury he received when he fought/killed another betta? He was found in a Snapple bottle with a betta carcass.

Yep, LMO has it spot on, aquarium salt will quickly clean out the digestive system of the fish, however internal tapeworms can protrude out as well. I would treat with salt first then worry about medicating if that doesnt work.
