Is ppm the same as milligrams per litre?

Alll the water reports seem to be in milligrams per litre.

If not what is the conversion?

You are correct, 1ppm = 1mg/L (in water).

Wikipedia has a good article about parts-per notation and how it works.

yeh its the same i only know this cause my yesy kits say ppm/mgl
