I know when selecting a tank for Mbuna that floor space is a big issue. My current tank is 36" x 15" x 18" and is the biggest restangular tank I can fit in. I have looked in the past at corner tanks and could fit in either a Jewel 190 or 350. Would either of these tanks be good for mbuna? Obviously the 350 would as its 4ft across the front. Could I also keep a few aulonacara's in that size as well as it's quite a tall tank?

Other option is my community tank is 48" x 15" x 18" so I could use it for Mbuna and put the community fish in the corner (although the corner is between my 2 sofas and I like to sit and watch the mbuna of an evening  )

Off hand, I can't remember the exact reasons. But I seem to remember reading that corner tanks aren't ideal for Mbuna. Something to do with volume to "footprint" ratio. Could never figure out exactly why myself though.
