I was just curious, is it possible for fry to develop in the average Mbuna tank or will all the young get eaten before reaching adulthood?

It all depends on how much rockwork, hiding places ect you have in the tank.

Most will get eaten, but if the parents guard them well enough, and they get enough food, some will survive.

If you want almost every one of them to survive, the best bet would to setup a fry tank :good:

Oh ok cool thanks for the reply. I just thought it would be interesting to see how many could survive to adulthood in that kind of environment.
