Most Mbuna are omnivorous so a balanced diet is preferable and at least an element of Spirinula is advisable. They'll pretty much eat anything you give them (including gravy and roast spuds :rofl: ), not sure if brine shrimp would be good for them though... freddyk, i'm sure will answer that one. :lol:

will wait to see on the brine shrimp then before I let them gorge on it!!

brine shrimp occasionally is fine. ;)

just stay away from blood worms and the likes and any other meaty foods.

i feed all my mbuna on a diet of mostly veg ,algae some veggie flakes, spirulina and brine shrimp
 
As an occasional supplement it's fine, and Labidochromis can handle it regularly. I wouldn't take the chance with any Labeotropheus though.
