Since i have inherited 30 odd Mbuana Cichlids i guess a cichlid layout would be the best way to go with my new tank ( 50 gallon)

The majority of the cichlids seem to be cobalt blue zebra cichlids and some other ones.

Anyways i will be adding White Sand and large stones for hiding

I have a Aquamanta 4000 filter 1400LPH

i have a wavemaker 15000LPH

opinions?

Sounds interesting, a Mbuna set up.

What are your plans for this set up on your new 50 gallon tank and are you going to fishless cycle this tanks well?

I have mature media for the filter anyways, The tank will be filled near october time and with a custom stand

I will fill with big rocks and maybe some ferns here and then, may even chuck in a few Pakistani Loaches

Thoughts?

and C4 what would you like to know? Any recommendations?

Only words of caution I would offer is to set your stonework up in a dry tank glued together with aquarium sealant. Malawi cichlids love to dig and can quickly undermine the stability of any rockwork with the potential for a cracked tank.

:( Woah, Thanks for advice, will superglue be okay?

I don't think it will to be honest. Rocks won't necessarily give you much surface to surface contact area, silicone will fill spaces and still bond. I'd feel far more confident using silicone for this project. Try and create as many hidey holes as you can, they like the security it gives them.
